My name is Jennifer Caselli and I am the event chair for Relay For Life of Almaden being held on May 5-6th at Leland High school. On Tuesday Councilmember Nancy Pyle declared March 13th, 2012, Show Us Your Hope day in San Jose. I was presented with a Proclamation by Mayor Reed at City Hall. Bridge Bank, Relay's Presenting Sponsor this year, had two representatives there, Rich Birchard and Lee Shodis.
Students (all ages) from throughout the region (of Santa Clara, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, San Benito, Alameda, and Monterey Counties) are invited to attend the
GATE Student-to-Student Conference being held at UCSC on May 8, 2010.

Saturday, November 17th 2007 — Join us as we dedicate the Doris Dillon Children’s Library. Nationally recognized librarian and educator, Doris Dillon inspired Almaden students to love reading, learning, and life in a career spanning over thirty years. Twice named Teacher of the Year by local schools, Mrs. Dillon was known for bringing literary characters to life. Please join the PSA for DINNER (Pizza) & A MOVIE! 6-8:00PM on Wednesday, February 29th. The PSA will be hosting a movie entitled “PLAY AGAIN: What are the consequences of a childhood removed from nature?” This film has won many film festival awards including best documentary at the Barcelona film festival and best educational film at the Prague film festival. The movie is targeted to 5thgrade and up but all interested families are welcome to participate.
We are currently planning the annual senior class “Safe and Sober Grad Night” to be held following the graduation ceremony on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010.
Donations can be offered as a raffle prize (raffles will be held throughout the night of the event) or a single monetary donation to this fantastic event.
Come to the Leland Fashion Show! 100% of all the profits the show makes will go directly to World Concern--a foundation that helps builds schools, provides food and water and distributes micro-loans to needy families around the world.
